A Message from Allan Hand : We are having a bike ride for youngsters on the 5th of August. We will meet at the john Wilkinson School at 0900. There will be a skill test. We will then ride to the track next to the Woodbridge pub where we will ride untill we get to a car park near Bridgnorth Golf club.

Lunch will be cooked in a wok by the army. There will be no cost. Anyone over 10 can attend but must complete a consent form which they can get from Broseley library.

All must wear a cycle helmet.

The mayor and deputy are riding a tandem for the event!!!!

After a very ‘quite’ few weeks I’m very proud to say that the Broseley Forum has now had its 50th member!. This is mainly thanks to Sue Taylors amazing work at keeping the topics fresh and VERY entertaining. Well done Sue and please keep coming back and help keep BroseleyOnline on your home page!

Yours truly has just released a book and CD titled ‘easybulgarian’ and as you may of guessed it’s about teaching you the Bulgarian language.

Broseley camera club meetings take place on last Monday of the month at 7.30 at Broseley Library.
Simarlarly the Broseley Bookworm Book Club also have their meetings on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 8.00 pm at the Lion Hotel in Broseley.

This look at the life Edith Piaf, won two Oscars and many other awards.
Her mother was an alcoholic street singer, her father a circus performer,

her grandmother a Madame in a Parisian
brothel. As a child she lived with each. At 20, she became a street
singer, who was “discovered” by a club owner who was murdered soon
afterwards. She then was coached by a musician who brought her to
concert halls, and then quickly to fame.
Piaf’s constant companions were alcohol and heartache. The tragedies
of her love affair with the French boxing champion, Marcel Cerdan, and
the death of her only child belie the words of one of her best known and
most loved songs, “Non, je ne regrette rien” … “I regret nothing.”
A story of gutsy strength, of the will to survive, and of the
determination to break free. Edith came from poverty, ending up as
one of France’s most beloved singers. The story of a woman fighting
demons. Edith’s life was never easy; she lost everyone she loved, and
thereby she gradually lost herself. She died at the tender age of 47.
