What a Poem!

Monday, June 16th, 2008

Sue Taylor has wrote this fantastic poem!. You can see more of her work in the Forum!

Great work Sue - Once again -

I picked up Friday’s Journal to read the Broseley news
and came across a story wrote by Sarah Hughes
Broseley has a website which celebrates oneyear
and looking for new members throughout the coming year
So I logged onto the website and registered my name
like many other people had joined and done the same
I soon became a member and joined in forum posts
James the administrater even posted one on ghosts
I posted lots of topics which attacted peoples views
The eco friendly bag debate hit the Broseley news
It sparked some local interest and sponsors came to light
Now Broseley market town has Eco Bags in sight
James offered to assist me to organise and plan
A weekly night meeting to start the bag began
We launched a competition for a Broseley bag design
How fast this all happened we feel on cloud nine
I felt so very proud when asked to join the team
I won’t let you down James Wow! what a dream
Theres Interesting topics so come and have your say
James and Sue will welcome you today.

The Final Word?

Friday, May 30th, 2008

Here I am back off my holidays to a email box bursting at the seams!!

The Forum has been buzzing with speculation about the Broseley Clock fund.

Here is a email from Cllr Carol Cooper:

The clock on the Victoria Hall was financed by the now defunct Clock
Committee and the present Victoria Hall Management Committee, in
memory of Roy Lane. There is a plaque underneath the clock to that
effect. There was publicity in the Bridgnorth Journal and front page
of the Shropshire Star last Nov/Dec when the clock was installed. The
Lane family were fully informed all along about the project. The
alleged original clock from the Old Town Hall is still in safe
storage. Every penny that was spent is accounted for.
