What was suppose to be a great day for me and Broseleyonline has turned out awful.
I woke this morning to a phone call from my mother-in-law telling me that the local scrap-yard (Oakley Arnold) which she is the director of had been broken into and one of the trucks had been stolen carrying a full load of copper cable…
My father in Law and one of the staff manage to catch up with the lorry just outside of Bridgnorth heading to Wolverhampton…
The Police were called during the 20 minute chase but no police cars responded to the incident..Once the truck had reached the centre of Wolverhampton it went out of site!
How annoyed are we as a family business knowing that we were so close to capturing the intruders only to watch them get away.. The police were given a full description of the vehicle which road it was on . but did not respond.
When asked why they (police) responded so badly they put it down to a ‘lack of man power’.
This does not help us as a business as we are now without a truck to do the job we need it for. The damage to the gates and equipment in the yard took all day to fix and the intruders also damage a skip containing lead..
The scarp-yard is covered with cameras so we do have everything recorded…but will it be enough to catch them ?
We don’t hold much hope as this has been the 4th incident this year, even thou the police force have been given compelling images and DVD footage of all the break-ins..\
If you can help on this case please call the scrap-yard on 01952 882322
The incident took place at 5.am (today) a sky blue volvo lorry was used to smash through the main gates of Oakley Arnold - it was unable to pick up the skip it came for so was left dumped outside (did you see anyone geting out of this vehicle?)
the foresters arms around 5:15am. three men were seen on the camera footage.
UPDATE : DID YOU SEE ANY PERSONS IN DARK CLOTHING BETWEEN 5:15AM AND 5:40AM BETWEEN THE FORESTERS ARMS AND OAKLEY ARNOLD(IN COCKSHUT LANE) OR ANYONE ACTING SUSPICIOUSLY ON THAT TUESDAY MORNING? Telephone the number above.
