Scout Hut Burnt Down..

Saturday, January 27th, 2007

You may already know that the Scout hut has been burnt down :( . A real lost to Broseley people.. My two sons both used this facility. I hope the people who have done this terrible thing are brought to rights!

A Quote from the S.STAR :

Broseley mayor Sheena Selkirk said the destruction of the building, which was part of the Forester Estate, was a “sad loss”.

Councillor Selkirk said: “I’m very sad and dismayed that a building that has been used in the community for so many years has been gutted by fire.”

She added: “It was extensively used by the scouts, cubs, guides and brownies and many other groups. Sadly the scouts and cubs groups have now folded and the guides meet elsewhere.”

PS3 European launch date revealed

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

The long-awaited PlayStation 3 will finally go on sale across Europe on 23 March..

The electronics giant has said that only the 60GB version of the console will be available at launch, with the 20GB model to follow later.

The next-generation console is already available in Japan and the US, where it went on sale in November last year.

The European launch was postponed after problems mass producing parts for the console’s Blu-ray disc drive.

Sony has said that one million of the consoles will be made available at launch in Europe, with around a quarter of the stock landing in the UK.

Each machine will cost £425.
