This year’s Broads panto is ‘Aladdin’ - a tried and trusted favourite but with a brand new, up-to-date, funny professional script. There will be new faces too with Hannah Giles and local girl Stef Jones as a terrific duo as Principal Boy and Girl. The tickets range from £3 on the first night to £7 on the last night. During the rest of the run of ten performances, the price is £6 with £4.50 for concessions. The show opens on Thurs Jan 28th. and runs through to Sat Feb 6th. There are three matinees on Sat Jan 30th. Sun Jan 31st. and Sat Feb 6th. Tickets can be obtained from Downes’ shop from Jan 6th and by phone from 884842.

A BIT OF HISTORY.. Broseley Amateur Dramatic Society BROADS was formed in 1980 and with Broseley Youth Theatre offers theatrical events and entertainment. It usually puts on two straight plays, or one-act plays, and a pantomime each year. The Group enters festivals in the Autumn and Spring and has performed at many larger theatres around the country with some success in the competitive arena. BROADS has performed in a variety of local venues, indoors and outdoors, in support of local organisations. Some trips and social events are organised. Open to all ages.
Broseley Youth Theatre encourages young people to participate in all areas of production, including writing and devising pieces, usually there is a Christmas show, some one-act plays and a youth musical to end the year in early summer. The Youth Theatre meets on Thursday evenings, juniors and seniors at different times. Meetings take place at the Birchmeadow Centre, Broseley. Cost approximately £1.50 per week.
